The Town of Shelburne's skateboard park was built in 2004/2005.
The park is located on King Street near the site of the old Shelburne
Regional High School.
The land is owned by the Town of Shelburne.
The skatepark was developed as a joint venture between the Town and
Our House Youth Wellness Centre.
The park was designed and built through staff and volunteers at
the Youth Wellness Centre.
The park has a 50 x 50 foot concrete slab and a number of pieces of
equipment contructed by Our House.
The wooden half-pipe was donated to the park by Ted Siegel.
Funding to date has been provided by the Town, the Department of Health
Promotion and Protection and fundraising by Our House
The Town's Parks and Recreation Department monitors and inspects the
equipment regularly and reports any repairs needed to the Youth Wellness
Centre.
