![]() HIGH FIVE® is Canada’s only comprehensive quality standard for children’s sport and recreation programs and service delivery. It represents a true commitment to children and is based on research involving child development experts, recreation and sport professionals, families and leaders. Parks and Recreation Ontario founded HIGH FIVE® in 2001 after years of research. The standard is now being implemented across the country. In 2007, agreements were signed by Authorized Providers in the following seven provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. For further information about HIGH FIVE® in the provinces, please visit each Authorized Provider sub-site. HIGH FIVE® is built on the belief that all children deserve to have recreation and sport experiences that support healthy child development.
