Welcome to Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue

This Year, 2008, Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue is celebrating it's 30th Anniversary. This is an important milestone in the history of organized searches in our County. We will be attending various public venues during this year and invite you to come and talk with us about our "TEAM"

The purpose of the Lunenburg County Ground Search & Rescue Team is to assist the R.C.M.P. and Municipal Police Services in locating persons missing in the woodlands or other areas of Lunenburg County.  Our services are also provided elsewhere in Nova Scotia when requested to do so by Emergency Measures Organization. We will also endeavour to educate the public in proper woodsproofing techniques - what to do when one gets lost.

Miss Reba
Creig wishes to announce the new girl dog- Miss Reba. She has just recently been certified in the RCMP Civilian Dog program at 18 months old. She is a sable Czechoslovakian shepherd and loves to work. The Team wishes much success to Creig and Reba in the future.
