Welcome to Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue

The purpose of the Lunenburg County Ground Search & Rescue Team is to assist the R.C.M.P. and Municipal Police Services in locating persons missing in the woodlands or other areas of Lunenburg County. Our services are also provided elsewhere in Nova Scotia when requested to do so by Emergency Management Office. We assist our local REMO in times of disaster. We will also endeavour to educate the public in proper woodsproofing techniques - what to do when one gets lost.

Miss Reba
Miss Reba is a Czechoslovakian Shepherd and loves to work. She is certified in the RCMP Civilian Dog program for Search and Rescue.

***Project Lifesaver is now available in Lunenburg County - Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue Team now have their training and equipment and can provide introductory information on how this system can save lives. This equipment was developed for autistic, alzheimer and any other persons at risk that may tend to wander. Please give us a call..
