A
little about us.
This site was started in March 2002 and has grown rapidly as new information has come in from many sources, it is my first effort at a web site and has been a “learn as you go” project. I have tried to keep it simple and have kept photo pages separate so that those with slow dialup connections like myself, do not have to wait forever. Anyone with suggestions, corrections or additions is welcome to contact me.
We live in rural
The summers of 99 – 02 were spent building and completing our house pictured in “The House that Don Built”. Constructed entirely by myself (with a little help from friends and neighbors) It is a single story 1200 sq ft wood frame, open plan house with full basement, clad with pine board and batten siding sawn from our own pine logs. A 350 sq ft solarium / greenhouse extends along the entire south side where we grow a variety of perennials from seed.
We both enjoy the outdoors and continue to develop our trail system through our hardwood and pine bush, document and photograph our wild flowers, and to add perennial flower beds and wildflower gardens around the house.
